Mocap meets monster – go behind the scenes of the fight scene in The Witcher 4 Cinematic Trailer

We're thrilled to present a breakdown of the duel between Ciri and Bauk straight from our motion capture stage to your screen.

Here’s how we brought this scene to life:
→ We built a 7-meter rig suspended from the ceiling with 3 operators for the attacking arms and Maciej Kwiatkowski performing Bauk’s body.
→ We shot the choreography in just one take, which allowed us to preview the fight sequence live on set – no tricks, just raw movement.
→ Our team choreographed the Witcher-style combat across 5–6 takes – and one iconic move (with the chained jump) was invented 10 minutes before the take and nailed perfectly.

It’s what happens when creativity, technology, and talented stunt performers collide.
