MPC Visualization's latest Previs reel shows some of the work our teams completed for Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Previs, short for "previsualization," is a visual planning process. It involves creating simplified, visual representations of scenes, shots, or sequences before actual production begins. These visualizations can take the form of 2D storyboards, 3D computer-generated graphics, or even simple animatics. MPC’s visualization team, led by Patrick Smith and Leandre Lagrange, delivered the previz, techviz, postviz, as well as concept art for over 50 characters, and hundreds of variations, for the movie.
MPC provided a full-service offering for Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers crafting 1450 shots for the film, including the creation of Chip N’ Dale themselves. VFX artists also built 100 2D hand-drawn characters, 60 3D animated characters, and 30 full computer-generated, designed, and lit sets.
