Avatar: The Last Airbender | 2024
Led by Executive Producer Kristin Patterson and VFX Supervisor Goran Backman, PXO delivered more than 400 shots across the series, including some of the most iconic moments of the show. PXO were instrumental in developing the style and effects of the Fire Nation.
KP: “We've been working on this for four years now, from the first concept, to building the LED volume and producing some stunning VFX. We were involved from the very beginning and that's part of why it looks so good now!"
GB: “We started with an excellent base of fire for all our shots and then proceeded with creative changes for the various specific tasks. We created all kinds of unique fx to make the fire look as good as possible. The showrunners had some great creative ideas about how the fire should wrap around people’s bodies almost like it envelops them. This is just one aspect we had loads of fun with."
SYNOPSIS: A young boy known as the Avatar must master the four elemental powers to save a world at war — and fight a ruthless enemy bent on stopping him.
Watch Avatar: The Last Airbender now on @Netflix.
